Someone did a lousy job this time around in figuring out how to handle the demand.
And no one on the crew was willing to get me a different car.
Upon arrival at the rental pick up- area I found a line of about 10 people in front of me and quickly the line grew to about 30 in short time.
ONE
There was only one person on hand and people were left with no choice of cars - but to simple take the next one available. I'm an Emerald club member with an AMEX upgrade - reserve a mid level and get the next level up at no additional charge.
I wasn't pleased.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady who checked me out even suggested I don't take the option to buy a full tank of gas because based on my driving distance I would save money. Great customer service.
I am a frequent renter from National - I've never had this happen before.
This was my first experience renting from National, and my first time as an Emerald Club member. It couldn't have been easier, and the car selection in the Emerald Aisle fantastic. Returning was as easy as pick-up. I highly recommend National Car Rental.
Usually these guys are the best and have always been a 5 Star experience but on my last trip I came off the plane at midnight and made my way to the Emerald Isle where I get to pick my car (Love that!) and I found 1 car.

Love being a member of the Emerald club! It’s super easy to pick up a car. Just grab your luggage and go straight to the National car rental in the garage, pick out a car and get in and drive away! Couldn’t be easier!!
