I finally called for an Uber around 3 after trying to call Hertz multiple times and not getting an answer.
I was set up to be picked up from my house at 9:00 am. They even called and confirmed prior to the date of pick up.
They did not arrive at 9, I called at 9:15 they claimed there was no pick up time and that they would be on the way.
I was at Hertz in less than 10 minutes...only to find out there was no car for me. The guy who works the counter was kind enough to drive us home. So here I am back at my house with NO rental. I'd still be waiting for a ride if I didn't call Uber.
After coming here to drop off our car next door, we were told we couldn't get a mini van and had to take the smallest we were upset that after dropping a truck off he would put us in the smallest of cars. He proceeds to tell us he Can't put us in a minivan because people pay much more for the miles on a mini van than a small car. Translation we are getting $$from the insurance and giving you the cheapest. SECOND. He pulls up with a 2008 Van full of hair, worn our seats (they were res, tan, gray whatever color) ALONG WITH THE TIRES BEING BALD. This is just ridiculous. Do not use them.
I am very disappointed and will probably not use their services again.
We had an extremely negative impression of the Hertz on San Jose. We reserved a car, but were stuck in traffic going to pick it up. We called ahead to let them know we would be a few minutes late, and they agreed they would wait for us. We arrived three minutes after their closing time, and not one person was in the shop. The next day when we went to get our car, we were told it was rented out because we were not there to pick it up the day prior. We were also told that the rate was higher than the prepaid amount online. We have had much better luck using other rental companies in the area.
Always great service with Hertz. Good customer service. In and out fairly quick!! Prices aren't too bad either!
10:42 I called back and was told he's on the way, 11:10 I called and supposedly he was on the way. (I only love 7 minutes away). 11:32 called again spoke to someone from another location who said they'd have someone out in an hour. Its 1:37 and I am still waiting.
We rented at this location around ten times in the past six months. Our experience was brilliant. Earle, who currently manages this location, has always been helpful even with special needs (like need a Minvan one way on Thanksgiving) and very attentative to whatever we asked. Have returned here with pleasure every time, will definately come again.
