The staff at the front desk were all very nice and helpful. The rental process was easy and affordable. The location is very conveniently located near hotels to spend the night before flying out of Jacksonville. The shuttle to the rental lot from the airport was quick and easy.
This place absolutely sucks! I made a reservation for a Midsize vehicle at $132.65 When I arrive she says I now have to pay $300 for underage driver when I specifically said I was on the phone and they said my price was still $132.65. They then said I had to make another reservation for a cheaper car but then forgot to mention the $200 Deposit fee! I'll get a private limo if I was going to pay that much. I don't know how this place is still in business.
I rented an economy car which was in serviceable condition and got me from point A to point B.
DO NOT RENT FROM ADVANTAGE RENTAL CAR!!!! I rented through priceline $85 for a rental Friday to Monday. I get to the counter and learn $85 is only for 150 miles daily for unlimited miles is a extra $20 a day. I had to add it because I was traveling from Jacksonville to Miami. Plus they have a high deposit of $350. They have very basic cars. When I went only Kia on the lot. Upon returning my car at 9am , I handed my keys to the attendant and was asked if I would like my receipt emailed to me. I said yes and never received it. Then 3 days later I look at my bank statement and notice my deposit refund is very off. I call advantage rental and they claim I turned my rental car back in late, 4pm late. I was furious. I've called back 3 to 4 times trying to fight the claim. You can never speak to any one at the branch and are sent to customers service reps who don't care. Needless to say I will never RENT from advantage rental again.
WOW lucky i booked through hotwire because the front desk charge a penalty for "local" renters that literally cost more than rental. 50 extra dollars. Hotwire found me a better car immediately after talking on the phone to the very rude front desk. Also i see they forced a person to get insurance, made people go around the car with a pen and paper noting every scratch, very unlike every other car rental place that rent good cars and dont hassle Customers. Wow cant believe people rent from them. They are a disgrace to the city of Jacksonville.
