I laughed in disbelief and told the man "you know, that's not vegetarian." He shrugged it off in a dumbfounded manner: did not admit to the error or offer an alternative sauce for those entrees.
What I eventually ordered (chow mein) was tasty so that was their saving grace of not getting a single star.
The food was excellent. Full of flavor and well presented. Nice atmosphere, comfortable to eat.
Food was ok, ordered the crabmeat wontons - don't think they had any crabmeat in them, they were dry. Also ordered the beef lo mein with broccoli, it had two pieces of broccoli, and the beef was cut up small and was very, very little in the noodles. Disappointed!!
I'm vegan and was ordering off the vegetarian menu to make it suitable for me. However, when asked which sauce I preferred, I was informed the sauces in the vegetarian entrees all use chicken broth (white and brown sauces)
I've been eating here since 2007 and never had a bad experience. The food is always hot and fresh. They also have a great staff. I love this restaurant!
I order a decent amount of the time from here and last night I ordered dinner. Well all morning I've been throwing up since 5am to 10:11am now. I've thrown up 4 times now and I'm pretty sure I got food poisoning. I've only gotten food poisoning from this place 2 times in the past 2 years. I still like the food but something changed last night because I can't even hold down my own stomach acid. They need to do some extra cleaning or check the dates on their food to makes sure this doesn't happen again.
