I recently bought 2 generators from Ace Hardware on University and all employees were extremely helpful on the Thursday before the hurricane. Mary is a super nice lady and has outstanding customer service skills. I mention that because the owner Steve Proctor is a complete money grubbing owner that does not care about listening or helping the customer. Steve Proctor is more interested in making money than making customers happy or having them return in the future. Like I mentioned earlier I bought 2 generators, one was used for the local recruiting battalion because of expected power loss from the Hurricane and the other generator was for my son who attends college in South Florida. The one that I bought for my son was not used and is still in the box. When I asked Steve Proctor for a refund he was argumentative and completely unreasonable. He told me that he has heard every excuse and was not going to change his mind on returning the generator. Steve Proctor made a lot of money selling generators for $1100 to Jacksonville residents and he should be ashamed of himself for being such a bully when a customer has a concern or requesting a return. Ace Hardware is over priced and they made good money leading up to the hurricane. Steve Proctor stop being so stubborn and greedy and listen to your staff and start giving your customers the great service we deserve for supporting your business.
