Flash forward to today. I called you let them know my insurance had changed and if it was accepted there. They told me yes. So I left work and drove all the way over there from the beaches area for the girl to then tell me they would not accept my insurance and it would be over $100. So when I said something about it she said they would accept it but only if the insurance company changed them to my primary care, even though I was only in for urgent care. I should have known better from my first experience with them. NEVER AGAIN.
Again, go anywhere else. A clinic should heal, not cause undue stress because it's a pill mill & insurance leech.
This office is a joke. The first I went in was for my shoulder last year and they absolutely NOTHING for it except try to give me steroids and light pain pills. Was supposed to schedule an mri and NEVER did. When I called to do it myself was told they were waiting on the doctors notes. They never got them.
I'm now forced to pay out of pocket for an appointment because they have no record of why I was charged a certain amount for an appointment & billing will not reply.
Medications prescribed with no patient interaction or discussion. A billing "department" that is one person who refuses to interact with patients when there's a billing issue.

I went to Dr Hassan at Dr center on Normandy Blvd in Jax, fl. Went in with terrible pain on my lower left side I waited an hour and then an office person came in an said the Dr couldn't see me after reviewing my records. I've been seen at this location twice before for pulled muscles, never asking for pain meds! Other dr was great. I didn't want any pain meds , just wanted to know why my side was hurting. I asked if I could get an explanation from the dr, I was told no. The office person told me that the Dr had said that if he started treating me, he would have to finish. Huh? I guess he had a date or something! Worse treatment I have ever had! Dr. Hassan is a freaking joke! I wouldn't let him look at my dog! I left in tears! If my pain is a result of something more, I will need a lawyer.
Their new "billing" consists of a touch pad that you sign & it simply gives to a total reciept. Unfortunately if your insurance later requires an itemized receipt for why you had been billed this total amount you're out of luck. As far as I know they don't keep these records, simply billing a total for "services." When given a phone number for the "billing department" I found out after 6 days & numerous calls that "Jillian" never answers the phone & doesn't reply to messages left. You've hit a wall in trying to deal with the one-person billing operation.
Twice during visits I have been prescribed drugs without any discussion of their use, side effects, or even why I was being prescribed them. I don't believe in this method of forced pharmacology & prefer a health care professional to discuss with me what I'm being prescribed & why, not just send me out the door with a new load of pills.
Go somewhere else. Anywhere.
