P.s I'm also Cuban, that's why I feel this way. We come to a better country to keep some bad habits....Disappointing.
Ok first off, let me start by saying how disappointed I am of most (because it wouldn't be fair to include all) their staff! It is absolutely disgusting how they run the place like if it was Cuba (Cuban doctors are ones of the best in the world because they do their profession as a vocation, not for the money, but the front desk staff and medical assistants there, wow! Just horrible) they put whoever they want in front of you, no matter if you have appointment or not. I went to get test done, then I was to come back to get my results, so I made my appointment and they called me to cancel because they were getting their phone lines fixed. So with my schedule I could not go another day, so I called and rescheduled again when I was able to go, I told the lady I needed the earliest because asides from getting my results for my other test, I was getting my yearly fisical exam and you have to fast, she said it was ok. Well I got there at 7:55am and there were probably 5 to 6 people then, it took us (me n husband) about 10 mins to be helped, then we sat and as time went by, people without appointment kept coming in and going in before me, and I had an appointment for 8:00am! I mean, how many 8:00am appointments can you give out when you only have 2 doctors in?! Right?! By 8:30 am that place was packed. Anyways, my husband got called before me, but just to check his blood pressure and so. (We had appointment for the same time but he was just there to get results, however they checked him so that they can make an insurance claim! Because when I had no insurance and got my fisical done, they told me I did not have to pay again to pick up results because it was just picking up!)
If you sit on the right hand side of the clinic, to the back of the seats, there's a little space there where they check your vitals, well there's not wall, so the Cuban assistant was talking to a lady, pretty loud(that had no appointment) and telling her she was all set, and to go to the front and tell the person there that she was ready, and to put her inside a room when the next one got empty so the doctor could see her right away. (When we get vitals done, they tell us to sit and wait to be called again, not to go to the front to request a room) Anyways, I told my husband if by 8:40 they hadn't called me yet, I was leaving because they had passed in about 4 ppl before us, and it was not fair. So fear not, 8:40 got there and no call, I went up to the front, and they were all freaking out when I told them my husband and I were leaving, they didn't even know where my calling number was, (clearly not in a room because my vitals hadn't been taken yet) so we up and left. Like I said, doctors are great, but the front staff sucks big time. Dr Pulido needs to make some changes there, this ain't Cuba, no passing on people, there is a system in place, follow protocol! So for that reason ,they lost me as a client or patient, whichever they got me categorized by.
Front desk staff need allot of help on how to treat patients
Been a patient for about 6 months now. The staff and Dr. are very friendly people and do spend the time with you if needed, but I agree doesn't matter if you have an appointment, you will be there at least 90 min.or more.
