Highly unprofessional. Scheduled a date with Anthony in Sales to come to look at my roof and give me an estimate for repair. My husband took time out to be there and the company did a NO SHOW. Ruin our day and plans and never called or answered phone. Our time is important. I will never work with this company and will never forget how we were treated.
I had a tree fall on my house during Hurricane Irma. I thought there was no damage, and the water intrusion was backflow from the debris on the roof. Removed the debris, and water was still coming in during the next rain by the bucket. I called Dan Christ on a Saturday, and he offered to come out and tarp it or patch it the very next day until a more permanent solution could be scheduled. Great guy.
I had a small roof repair job needed. I requested and received a quote which I agreed to. Never heard from their sales person again. A month later, I had a call from their HQ to see if my roof still need to be repaired. I said it did and was told they would get someone to take care of it. A week later I was told they had no one to take care of this for me. I will need a full roof replacement in the next year or two and Carlson Enterprises will NOT be a company I will call. VERY IRRESPONSIBLE!
This company is very shady. Our roof, shed and fenced sustained damage from the hurricane that hit on October 7th. They never provided me a written estimate, even though I had requested one on numerous occasions. They provided one to my insurance company back in November. I called several times, sent faxes and text messages asking when the job would be started and requested a written estimate, so that I would know what I would owe at the end of the job, since my insurance company sent the money to me and not to their company. The money given to me was for all of the damage sustained by the hurricane, not just the roof. We hired Carlson Enterprises to replace our roof only. My husband fixed our shed and replaced our entire fence with our own money. The cost of that was over $4,000 of our own money. Every time I would get in contact with the sales representative trying to get an invoice or estimate, he kept on telling me that we had to pay them our full deductible of $4,800. In February he told me that we cut them a check for $4,800 to show the insurance company we paid our deductible and then Carlson would immediately cut us a $4,800 check back. I was finally faxed over an invoice on 4/6/17, which is dated 11/17/16, which totals just under $20,000 (which is not itemized and includes a line item: deductible - $4,800). Note, the invoice includes costs takes from my insurance carrier's initial estimate I provided to them, prior to them ever starting the work. I have had to get an attorney involved to assist me in dealing with this company. I would advise anyone reading this to steer clear of this company. They prefer to deal directly with the insurance carrier so they can get as much money as possible, and leave the customer out in the dark. All I can say is they are extremely shady. Run!!!
I am so unhappy with this very unprofessional company I don't think it deserves even a 1-star rating. I signed the contract with this company's representative on Mar 11, 2017 for roofing replacement installation, half of the cost already paid by my insurance, my deductible also already paid, and Carlson promised installation would be the week of Jun 12, 2017, yet until now no installation has happened. More than four months now not even a courtesy call from this company to inform me on when the installation will be. I cannot recommend this company to my friends or anyone else.
