Beautiful beach area. Wish I had more time to explore the more private areas. It was not super crowded even though there was a lot of traffic going in.
Came here for a forms clinic and it was a stunning backdrop while we worked out.
Went here while on vacation in Jacksonville. Great, friendly staff and beautiful location. Great beaches. Will go back if I am ever in Jacksonville again!
We wanted to rent kayaks and looked for them on their homepage. The link we followed sent us to a company that rents kayaks. That particular company has a nice little gift shop but the kayaks weren't really great. No working food rests and very low seating so that you hit your hands with every paddle. We kayaked through oyster fields which was good to have seen it, but really not exciting at all. The "sand beaches" are hardly beaches at all. The one was about 4 meters broad. The other one was loaded with boats blasting loud music . So not really what we expected at all. I was very disappointed that the State park sent us to an address that had us kayaking in a completely different area/environment.
I love coming here! There isn't a lot of traffic so the beaches are cleaner than most and the best thing about this park is that I always see Gopher Tortoises and that makes my day.
