I wish that I could give this place zero stars. The staff at this ER are the most unprofessional, unsympathetic, miserable, and I could go on and on. When someone is going through a traumatic experience, the last thing a medical staff should do is make jokes about their patients and belittle them. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. You have left emotional scars on my loved one. I have been here myself for stomach issues and when I tried letting the nurse know what I thought was going on, she had an attitude and asked if I had actually heard that from a doctor or the internet. No, I have an extensive family history of the same issue. And I was right! But anyways, if you care about yourself or your loved one, go somewhere else. Oh, and to the nurse that made the joke about the great full dead, you are a miserable person and I don't understand why you are in this profession if you feel the need to make fun of your patients to staff where they can clearly hear you. My loved one was very aware of everything that went on during her stay. She cried for days and couldn't understand that when she went to this place for help, why she was treated so badly. No wonder why your ratings are so bad. This place is a JOKE. I warn everyone to stay away from this ER. I would take my complaint further in this situation but I know that nothing would come of it. So, people of Jacksonville, stay away from this hell hole. If you're gonna get charged an arm and a leg for medical care, might as well be at a place that treats you like a human being.
Great staff, Kim was awesome. Dr. King was great too! All the staff was attentive and expedient to my son's sliced finger. I would recommend this place in any emergency situation. X-ray & 6 stitches in less than an hour and 15min. Thank you for your hard work & dedication to helping others.
Also, the charge nurse, Leilani, is awesome. She swooped in, and trained another nurse on a procedure being done. She knows her stuff.
The staff and nurses were great. Nurse Trishann is amazing and explains everything before she does it. She even gave my daughter a doll to take home.
My fiance has several chronic issues. We came here because he was vomiting for 15 hours straight. We were checked in, and in a room in 15 minutes. We saw the doctor within 45 minutes. Everyone was kind and patient. He is a hard stick, but they managed to get the IV inserted on just the second try even with him severely dehydrated. The doctor ACTUALLY LISTENED to him. We live on the other side of the city, but we'll be coming back here next time he needs help.
I will always use this ER now my son had an infection on his arm and has never been to a hospital so he was scared the Lori fehr (PA) Harry Mosley (paramedic) and Kim Mullis (RN) were so wonderful to him he was instantly not scared and did great he even asked to bring them back flowers so we came back up to tell them thank you!!
