My experience was good no doubt. I came in with my Ford explore wanting to delete the exhaust and they not only did a good job, they were pretty accurate on the estimated wait time and not to mention they had a couple different exhaust's that I requested and were able to allow me to hear the difference which was nice before just putting the pipe on (which we still straight piped it) but they were overall friendly, communicative, and efficient which is good but they for sure deserve a five stsr!
I have not had any service done YET, but I called asking about getting my "baffles" fixed on my Corvette's Corsa exhaust (loud rattles) and the man didn't make me feel stupid. He showed great enthusiasm on how we can maybe fix it. I hope I found my new go-to muffler shop :)
As a woman, it's pretty intimidating to want to have work done on your car. One never knows if the person is being truthful and honest. Ian was recommended to me by the guy who changes my oil, (because he did his personal car). I figured that was a great recommendation and took it. I'm SO glad I did! He took time to step through what I did and did NOT want to do, discussed price points, and was incredibly honest about what would work and what would be, frankly, "a very bad idea". That's the sign of someone wanting a long relationship, not a quick sale. Thank you for the honesty. Oh, and DANG!! My car is AWESOME now!!!
-UPDATE- They dramatically reduced the rattle inside to the point where I may hear it 3 or 4 days out of the entire month. So happy I found S&S they helped make my daily commute enjoyable again.
I've never had the good fortune of visiting this shop, but thanks to the recommendation of a fellow MINI enthusiast, my wife took her Cooper S in to get a little more rumble. So, here's my review from the perspective of a grateful husband. The technical details are that the work was top-shelf, the price was very reasonable and the technicians were efficient in their task, so there was not a long wait. In short, what was promised was delivered. Now for what I feel REALLY is more worthy of noting. My wife is not an imposing person, at just under 5' and relatively soft-spoken, it's easy for her to be overlooked and perhaps even treated differently, especially in the automotive service/performance industry. I can't begin to tell you how she raved about her experience at the shop. From the professionalism of the office staff to the obvious skill of the technicians (which she was able to observe from start to finish, thanks to the large window into the service bays), she was able to see that the work that was ordered was being done and done well, furthering that element of trust. While waiting, she paid attention to those little details too, like clean floors (she loved the finish!) and good phone manners, and they passed with flying colors. All that said, they have earned a family of customers and a big thanks from a grateful husband.
I went to S & S Custom Exhaust yesterday (8-2-17) to have a Flowmaster 40 series installed on my 2012 Dodge Ram. When I arrived they were very busy and I thought "well I'm going to be here a while", but Ian and his team got my truck right in and in around an hour later I was driving away. The staff was very helpful, professional and courteous. The work was performed quickly, but I watched the mechanic performing the work and I could tell he really cared about what he was doing and wanted to get it right. Now my truck sounds AWESOME and my wife is thinking about taking her car there. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone wanting some exhaust work done!!!!!!
