Overall, a very great place to eat for breakfast and lunch. Great customer care and efficient, prompt service. Take out or eat in, just be sure to order a sandwich if you want the authentic experience.
One of the good places for mating food on the Westside of Jacksonville. A Panaderia with great daily specials and you can also order from the menu. The service is great and the staff is very friendly.
Had the daily lunch special Tuesday is chicken and rice with your choice of beans and plantains. The seasoning is so good and you get a ton of food for your money. The service is exceptional...you order at the counter but they really make you feel welcome!!! Don't speak Spanish don't worry...new to the flavors don't be afraid to ck it out... They are bilingual and can offer suggestions and recommendations to meet your cravings... Also they have fresh baked goods... Coconut macaroons were calling out to me but that will be my treat for next visit. The atmosphere is Cute and quaint. But clean and casual.
I expressed interest in learning more about their production method, remarking how similar it is to create subs and sandwiches for Italian cuisine. Upon hearing this, the owner/operator took my round back and showed me how to make my favorite sandwiches on their menu. A very efficient and fast process was performed, much like the Big M did it in the movie The Founder.
I had the classic Cuban sandwich for lunch the other day. Flavorful and traditionally constructed to perfection. I was served by the owner/operator and mentioned that my family ran a pizza shop in San Diego before we came to Jacksonville.
