The children's section is pretty great and there's lots of places to study. I like that they have a classics section too. I just wish there was a better teen selection and some hours that made a little more sense.
The staff is always nice and helpful. There are plenty of open spaces and seating areas. I've never found the bookshelves to be disorganized. The check-in/check-out process is absolutely painless. I would definitely recommend a visit if you've never been inside.
Went to this library for books and DVD's, good selection and the DVD's played well in the player. Also took a few of the Excel classes and they were very informative.
I highly recommend getting a Jacksonville Public Library card. The process of checking out/returning books has become so simple and effortless with their self-checkout systems. Also, if you are looking for a specific book, you can place a hold for it online, they email you when it is ready and your book is waiting for you when get there.
Staff is incredibly helpful, especially when you are researching a difficult topic. Facilities are very conducive to quiet reading and/or studying. Parents, bring your kids here and teach them how to use the library and its features. You will be giving them a gift for life.
