I traveled to them from SC because they were recommended for surgical repairs to performance dogs. They worked me right in and did surgery the next day. Great surgical repair, beautiful casting and splinting. Great price compared to my local specialist vets. Very pleased and would drive all the way to Florida again to have another dog treated. They have done some surgical repairs on retired racers for the greyhound adoption group I volunteer for as well and have always done a great job.
Over the past 20 years, Dr. Walker has enhanced the quality and extended the lives of our furry companions. He possesses a keen intellect, scientific approach to problems, and unusual compassion for his clients and their pets. We are fortunate and grateful to have this high level of care available in Jacksonville.
Love this place...they are so caring and experienced. I feel that my dog Zoe will have the best shot at a longer life now that Dr. Walker is in it!
The cost of care is comparable with that of a general Vet., especially considering the staff's higher level of training, expertise and experience. These qualities make a real difference in performing more focused testing, rendering an accurate, expedited diagnosis, and quickly initiating the apprropriate treatment.
Very knowledgeable and kind staff. Unlike a lot of veterinarians I have dealt with over the years they take time to explain what going on with your pet instead of seemingly rushing you in and out and taking your money. I feel had I gone somewhere else to help my dog molly she might not be with us today. Alittle expensive but you cannot put a price on companionship and love. Our cat was recently treated here for a heart condition and unfortunately he passed as a result. Despite this the staff here went above and beyond to make sure he received the best care they could provide. The front staff was friendly and supportive through the several days he was here, the doctors were knowledgeable and honest about his condition while still being compassionate. All of the staff here were accommodating of our wishes (allowed him to have his favorite blanket and toy in his final hours) and even followed up with us after the fact signing a sympathy card with individual personal notes from all the staff for us which included a packet of flower seeds. To some this may not be important, but for my wife who was very emotionally attached to him it means everything. They were up front with the costs of his care without being overbearing about payment. One thing to keep in mind is as with human doctors, specialty care for pets is not cheap. We knew this going into it and as my wife has some anxiety with finances I explained this to the staff and they made sure to only discuss the bill with me even when I couldn't be there due to work obligations. I highly recommend these veterinary specialists and cannot emphasize enough that despite the failing health of our little guy they were not only his caretakers, but ours. Thank you all so much for everything you have done for us.
Great staff, caring and competent Vets, ultra clean facility, no wonder we trust our beloved pets with these folks.
