The scholarship students supposedly go through a special class - that they are charged extra for - and the person who is supposed to run that class is on disability and not even at the school!
Lastly, bullying is tolerated as long as the student who is doing the bullying is paying full tuition. Any of the "regular" students who are there that are paying full monthly tuition get to do what they want to the other kids with no recourse.

All of that aside, most of the teacher's do not even have a teaching degree - And just before we left they hired a new teacher and put him to work without first running a background check! They are grossly understaffed and their front office isn't even open during the full day.
What we thought would be a dream come true for our 5 year old who has some special needs, turned out to be a nightmare. We should have heeded the first sign of trouble when enrollment process was so unorganized that this place would be a chaotic nightmare. School gives a feeling of a set from the Walking Dead. Kids wandering around not knowing where to go, what to do. Our son was able to run out of the his kindergarten room on the very first day of school. We received a phone call 15 mins after we left him there that he was "non compliant". Seems like a quick jump to conclusions and no effort to handle the situation and work on the poor supervision of the students. For such a small school it's very hard to get in touch with anyone of authority. We had to wait 3 full days to have a meeting with the director of the school who made all sorts of judgments about our son...a kid she never even laid eyes on prior to the meeting or "studied".
I love this school and it's teachers. I have a first and fourth grader attending at the present time. They both love going to school in the morning and enjoy the non-stressed environment which allows academic progress at their own pace. They have a flag ceremony, play the violin, prayer before lunch as well as participate in chess club and sports club. They also have a music class and a huge play area which they actually get to use daily. And don't forget "wacky Wednesday" lunches are fun for all.
At this point if I could give zero stars I would.. After we left they started accusing us of stealing from them and then refused to send information to our children's new schools. They claimed that they had no grades reported for one of my children! We also learned that our children had fallen way behind, in just half a year that they attended... and now we have to take special steps because our child's new school is saying they may not pass because they didn't properly report their grades!!!
This is truly an amazing place. My daughter loves going to school, her teacher and her classmates. I recommend this place to everyone whether your child excels academically or needs a little extra help this is the place for them. If you have never been here you should definitely check it out!
We knew St. Johns Grammar School was unique as soon as we set foot onto the campus. It's an environment where stress is left behind. The children are recognized for their desire to learn. They are given the tools to develop and are encouraged every step of the way rather than constantly being evaluated and judged. Now our child is reading well above grade level. More importantly he loves going to school. We have watched him develop a passion for learning that will guide him through the rest of his life.
It is shameful and it is now my duty to make sure that these despicable things are brought to light in every way I possibly can!
If you are looking for a school full of drones and zombies...this is the school for you. They spend a lot of time emailing you for donations than they do providing and catering to children with special needs. Absolute disgrace.
