This has been some of the best days i have had in many years.. would recommend it to any one want to relax.. i will be back
This is a great camp ground that's just outside of the city. The staff is great. They personally take you to your site and help back you in. There's 2 beaches on the spring fed lake. 1 has a ton of inflatable water sports any age. The other is on the opposite side of the lake right next to the restaurant and is more for little ones. Live entertainment on the weekends. Golf cart and Cabin rentals. Military discount on sites. Highly recommend.
I pulled a 48' fifth wheel toy hauler in yesterday. Nice lady at the desk found two back in spots options the so called "expert" guide said "I'd never get into".... After a golf cart tour listening to this old guy brag about his military background and seeing lots of available pull throughs with small rigs, no problem getting into both. When we get to the easier one I let him know I don’t need any more help it will take 10-15 mins to unload/unhook. He then informs me I can’t block the road in doing so but yet has no idea how long the site is and whether that is even possible. Like most parks most people are patient while people unhook, go around or back out, find another road and there where many others. He wants me to move to another road where I would still be blocking traffic, haul sewer/water lines/golf cart/motorcycle/etc across the entrance where I have been blocking traffic for ~ 30 mins 15 while he argues with me, about the time I could have been unloaded/unhook. Words like “This is my park, my rules, this conversation is over” made it clear I was dealing with a Military Brat with power issues he never had in the military world so goes to RV parks to try it. On the way out after I demanded a refund, he tried to direct me banging on my window I would not open. I made a U-turn right in front of the office I’m betting he could never do with a 70’ rig no problem. Not the first park I’ve been to where so-called experts have provided bad direction but take no legal liability, but this guy took the cake with the want-a-be military Sargent orders that won him a no sale refund on an overpriced site. I wasn't going to stick around and see what kind of non-sense this guy comes up with next.
Spent days trying to get a reservation. After countless calls and emails, mostly me calling them, they told me that my RV was too bad condition. My RV is a little old, but in great condition, and only 60k miles. It’s not rigged up in any way, just slightly aged paint, that’s all. Flamingo lake can go to hell.
It is also very popular, so sites are scarce at times. Reservations are greatly recommended. All amenities the traveler or long term camper could want or need.
The park is clean and very well managed. We have stayed here many times and it remains friendly and well kept.
A very nice RV park located conveniently on the northwest side of Jacksonville, Florida. This park is so easy to access the freeway system around JAX. 2-3 minutes and you are on I-295 the outerbelt.
