I needed a breaker panel reviewed and had, originally, made arrangements with another company that missed their appointment and stopped communicating.
Moral of the story: Get a second opinion, be skeptical. Even though my parents wasted $195 of their hard earned money for a bad band-aid, it would have cost them a lot more in the long run because it would have been an endless cycle of fixing unrelated problems. How much total would we actually spend to eventually have the actual problem solved? $1000? $1500? We unfortunately cannot recommend American Electrical.
I called another technician, described the issue to him, he came out, and within 10 minutes identified the actual problem (loose neutral wire and it wasn't in the attic) and actually repaired it for $125. $70 cheaper than American Electrical and he actually fixed it.
I hired American Electrical to change the electrical panel and run a circuit for the hot water heater. I'm a contractor that does renovations so I'm picky about who I hire for subcontracting. I highly recommend Ryan Hershberger and Levi Matchett from American Electrical. The price was very good and they worked non stop until the job was done right. They did a wonderful job and I will definitely be using this company again. It's hard sometimes to find good contractors but if you need a solid electrician for a fair price, you definitely can't go wrong with American Electrical. Thanks again guys for the great service.
They said my parents' house should be alright now, but the technicians said we would most likely have to rewire our attic (important: they never actually step foot into the attic to have a look). They told me $400 to $700 depending on how long to rewire. Charged us $195 for the visit and said their front desk will call me the next morning to set up an appointment.
I recommend them without hesitation.
2 very polite technicians came out, replaced a wall outlet. After an hour, they "found" two problem breakers (kitchen and garage). The two technicians switched the two breakers off and told us not to use the outlets connected to the two breakers.
Immediately after they left, we started having issues again even though they told us everything should be fine now. Thankfully they never bothered to call us to follow up because we would have probably gave them $400-700 to repair something that did not need to be repaired.
I called the day after Irma hit and was able to receive service in less than 2 hours. The technician, Ricky, was professional, quick and knowledgeable. My hot water heater is now working and loose wires fixed in my circuit breaker box. Well done! Sharon Dowe
After checking more reviews, I sent a note to American Electrical. Their staff contacted me promptly, fit in an appointment the same day, and reviewed my issue and gave me a path forward. Ricky, the lead tech, was on time, professional, and let me know when to expect him. The entire process was what you expect from a reliable company. Competent service, delivered in a timely manner.
My parents were having electrical issues with lights flickering and dimming, and the wall outlets emitting black smoke. Decided to call American Electrical to come out and take a look due to their great rating.
Our family was concerned about loosing power during Hurricane Irma and called American Electrical to install a whole house generator. The staff showed up quickly and assessed our needs. They had the Koehler generator installed just in time for our family to feel comfortable that if we lost power we had a backup plan since we had gone 5 days without during Hurricane Matthew. Thank you American Electrical for making this a complete and thorough installation. I recommend that you call American Electrical.
