Today was my daughters first visit. The doctor and staff were amazing and my daughter was not nervous and actually had fun. It did not take long to get an appointment. I would definitely recommend!
2 months ago I posted a review about kids first dentistry and how I was treated when I was 15-20 mins late for my children's appointment through no fault of my own because my children and I were coming off a flight which was delayed..Because of their discourteous and inconsiderate attitude towards my situation at the time, I left a review about it.I never received a call to try to turn around a dissatisfied patient instead Since then, I made an appointment for my son's to see Dr. Mahajan and received a call later to say that not only were my son's charts deactivated after my review but I was also given an ultimatum that if I wanted to bring them in again I would have to remove the bad review or else find a new doctor. I was highly offended by that and wanted to make sure that this was public knowledge about how this office treats their patients and especially since the patients are children. They basically denied treatment to my sons because of a review that they had rightfully earned. UNACCEPTABLE!!
This was our first visit to this dental office. I selected them because unlike a number of other pediatric dentists, they let the parents go back with the children. I cannot even believe how AWESOME our visit was! My daughter is 3 and this was her 3rd visit to the dentist. Her other visits included crying and total freak outs. This visit not one tear was shed. Danielle, the dental assistant, was AMAZING, she took the time to explain everything from X-Rays to letting her feel the brush before cleaning her teeth. There are televisions in the ceiling with headphones and they even have Netflix! Everything about this visit was more than I could have ever asked for. We will be going to this practice forever! :)
I have 2 sons that go to Kids first dentistry...i had a follow up visit booked for them for 4pm and 4.30pm on a wednesday afternoon which I booked months in advance because my schedule is very hectivc..I was coming off a flight that day and my flight was delayed because of the rain and as soon as I got to jax airport I called kids first dentistry to advice them that I will be about 20mins late for the 4pm appointment...A christine from there called me back saying that 15 mins is the latest that I could be and if I was later then I would have to reschedule..I told her about the 4.30 appointment and she said that both appointments were 4 pm eventhough I got an email to advise that 1 of my sons was scheduled for 4pm and the other at 4.30pm..She said that she could talklk to dr Mahajan which she said she did and that upon her advice I would have to reschedule , and the next available appointment was more than a month out...I literally begged her to see if there was anything she could do because at this point I was rushing to get there but with no care or concern, she chuckled and said that there was nothing she could do for me to to be seen that day...This is very poor customer service and just the discourtesy was uncalled for and unnecessary.
We have had nothing but fantastic experiences at Kid's First Dentistry. I am not the type of parent who is comfortable with sending my child in with a doctor or dentist alone, and their open and welcoming environment makes it great for the child and parent. The Doctor is great with children and the staff is always friendly. So glad we found them!
