I love the Riverside and 5 Points area in general so that helps and this is a cozy little place. My food was tasty and while I wasn't abundantly impressed I would give it another shot at a later time.
Somehow no one took our order for a really long time, then no one brought our food for a really long time. We could tell our food had been sitting in the heat area for a long time. Grits were still ok, but potatoes had gone rubber. Not s sure what happened, but everyone we talked to responded nicely and helped us out. Not sure why we were so overlooked. We were there for about 1 hr and 45 min. It was as really hard not to take it personal. Love the format. Get your own coffee. Love the menu. I am sure that eggs Benedict must be great if it hasn't sat under the heat lamp and cooked the yolks solid. It could have been awesome.
This is not the best breakfast place in the area. BUT this is the best priced one that is worth a look. They have a breakfast sandwich for 4.50 that will fill you up. Almost everything tastes great and is under or well under 10.
Great service and friendly vibes. Food was great. Not a lot of seating but oh well!
Discovered this place a year ago and fell in love instantly. The staff is very friendly and the blueberry coffee is amazing! Oh yeah the food is great too! There are a good amount of vegetarian and gluten free options. One complaint is cheese grits are hit or miss. Sometimes they are a delicious orange dream, other times they are the same tasteless grits you get at Waffle House.
