First it's a couple of blocks from a homeless park. I mean a whole park full of homeless people it is way out of control.
It is sad. This place used to be amazing, now it is empty and desolate. Most of the shoppes are closed. Many of the restaurants have closed up as well. I remember when it used to be the place to go.
We bring our kids or shell it be said that we trust our children there. Its in need of reconstructing the building and platform. We have enjoyed Holidays and Fireworks dates with family and friends. Gathered for mini concerts and bands playing- -plus the Christmas
I loved our time down here, it just needs more shops. So many are empty. A local artist has a store front here that is also a book store, you have to stop in and see how amazing he is. We look forward to going back and hope that it grows into a bustling place again.
All the shops seem to have left. Leaving empty store fronts or run down half empty stores. It also looks run down.
Well not visit again.

Jacksonville Landing
I live downtown, so it is convenient for me to grab a beer and some food at any restaurant (I like Chicago pizza) and watch some football or NBA playoffs or whatever sport you like. I wouldn't go out of my to go there though. Expect to be approached by some bums. And, the fireworks are nice and all but the crowd is tremendous which makes for a tight space. They do have live music on the weekend though, so that's nice.
