Hiking wise - it's just okay. There are wild boars out and about, so do be careful. In general, the trails are not very well marked, unless you go across the road to Cedar Point Preserve, which is fine. Lots of cross streets can make the novice hiker confused, as they cut through the middle of the path.

Google maps didn't take us to the right entrance. We drove around until we found it and since it was a shady path, we walked it for about 45 minutes. They should put a sign at the entrance warning of the ticks! I pulled over 20 off us and our dog. Not worth it.

*Update* As a past resident of the area I can attest to the other comments of many boars in the area. During my residence there was a least one hit sized sow or boar hit and killed by cars a month and I have the finely preserved skulls to prove it!

There are definitely hogs in the area

Lived down the street for a few years, hiked around here 3+ times a week and enjoyed every single walk. Decent place to mushroom hunt and bird watch, I have never been to a part of Florida I didn't love, well, we won't talk about the panhandle, there are endless outdoor adventures awaiting you in the Sunshine State!

Very nice.
