great place to eat real sushi and Japanese food one of my favorite restaurant
Came to Jax to visit for the weekend. Walked in this place expecting to get sushi, what I got instead was a headache. We sat at the sushi bar and were completely ignored for 5-10 minutes. I stood up and asked the sushi chef if we were supposed to place our order with him or with one of the ladies who worked there. His response was literally a head nod in the direction of the lady at the register. Then we ordered our food and it came in a to-go container she took to the register. We paid and walked outside to eat our food. I got tuna and it had the consistency of snot. I have never posted a review on Google and for me to go ahead and take time out of my life to let others know how horrible this place is says a lot. Also... this is probably a good sushi place if you have 3 hours of free time and love krab- imitation crab- and cream cheese.
The staff is always prompt, friendly and fast. The décor is on spot for the restaurant. I can't afford to eat here every day for lunch, but wouldn't mind if I could. The amount of food you get will always leave you feeling full when you leave.
I'm not one for Sushi, but I love the Hibachi they serve here. I had the Steak Hibachi this visit, but I have had the Shrimp Hibachi and Scallop Hibachi in the past. The Hibachi Lunch platters on average are about $15 with a fountain drink.
They start you off with a side salad and clear soup. Then when you get your entrée, you also get a bowl of rice. You get your choice of fried rice or white. The fried rice has a great flavor and is my recommendation.
Worst cat scraps in town. Service is terrible. Everything seems like it's a major inconvenience for them. We have given this place several tries, but never again. Sayōnara suckas.
Good sushi,great service. got order wrong but fixed it pretty quick didn't feel like they spit in food.
