On top of that... You have to wait on the techs to get set-up, make small talk, take a piss, run to family dollar to get a drink etc before they start on your hair. (to add, they may just stop and sit down or run to family dollar). All happened when I was there.
I've been to this shop multiple times and never had as many issues as I've had on 7/15. Although Adia and her crew really do a wonderful job on your hair but for the amount you may pay you should expect a professional at all times.
The owner is very nasty and unprofessional ! I knew something was off because she wanted even more money for the exact same hairstyle she did for my child once before and I kindly reminded her of the previous price from a text and she laughed it off and said ok the before price is fine. And btw if you have kids that you would like to get their hair braided down , they will turn you down and speak to their owner in their language because they are impatient when it comes to children! How disgusting !! I had a set appt with the owner few days in advance and showed up for the appt for my child being that I am coming a long ways to get it done only to be told by the workers that they were not told of my appt and when I called the owner , she didn't apologize or anything and when asked do you write your customers name because the workers said they weren't aware and that they gave my appt to a walk in(which is why I don't understand how they wouldn't know of my appt if they gave it to someone else but anyways..), she curses you out like a mad woman saying that it's not her fault and that the lady told her she's tired and doesn't feel like it. So disgusting so rude and I heard a few people were treated like that as well ! they will never and I mean never get me to come back or me to refer ANYone to their shop as if I never did anyway. Attitude was given once and I let it slide because they talk to rude and crazy but not this time ! I know me and I'm liable to tear yo ass up!!! Fr!!! But I kindly excuse myself and my family and will NOT return!! UNPROFESSIONAL UNPROFESSIONAL UNPROFESSIONAL AND MOST IMPORTANTLY RUDE & IM SO DISGUSTED!! they are getting one star only because that's the lowest I can go. And I hope they decide get some new couches for clients ! I wish I might sit on a dirty couch with stains on it that looks like it came off of a garbage truck, and for anyone who had walked in their shop before knows what I'm talking about ... how gross!! 5 thumbs DOWN!!
I don't know who that lying girl is earlier , Shalina Merritt or whatever your name is, who commented very nasty things about this shop, the owner and the people who work there, they are Very Nice people! Stop lying about them! You should be ashamed of yourself! You told a bold faced lie about the services and honesty and integrity of African Hair Braiding.Cause everyone that is in that shop has always been gracious and kind to everyone that comes through the door that I saw. They pray there together. Anyone can come by and see for themselves that they have Quality braids at reasonable price. And they always give me the hookup- even when I can't afford it! They are allowed to speak in their language when they want to! It's America, and they have the right to speak however they please, you just trying to be nosey. And the way you talking about them, I hope they did talk nasty about you too! You sicko!
And the couches are just fine!!! If you want luxury, then fly to Vegas!!!
Very unprofessional... Had an appt at 8am(along with two other ladies) and only one technician was available. The technician asked who was getting what and told all of us the price (like we didn't know when we booked the appt) also, the tech started on the highest paid customer instead of who made it their first.
Tried this place the first time today after continuously being disrespected at Linas African Hair Braiding. Love this place! Love my hair. Love the atmosphere! The ladies are all so nice and professional! I will definitely be returning!
The experience that I had at Aida's ship was so much better than going to, Lina's. I got faux loc's put in my head they are nice!!! When I got to the shop at 8am, Aida's sister was mopping the floor. I wouldn't lie on them about my experience. But it was one of the best, and I love my loc's!
In addition to the issues please expect a crying child to be running around all day.
Your a mean person girl! Don't say nothing about anyone off you Don't have anything nice to say!
Bad hearted people should just say nothing about this and always stay away!
My appt was at 8am, the other tech didn't show up until 9:30am then started on my hair at 10am. I was there from 7:30am(in the parking lot) until 6:30pm.
That is not nice at all to lie on such kind hearted people!
