I remember what it was like when I was a child 30 years ago, shopping at the general store in our little town of 500 people. The owner would talk my parents like they were his neighbors and friends, because they were. Knowledgeable about every product he sold, he was hardworking and seemed to care more about the community he served than the profit he could make. That old feeling is exactly what I recalled yesterday as I shopped at Hob's Honey & General Store. As more and more impersonal, national chain-stores change the landscape of the the Mandarin community, I am so glad to have found there are still excellent local gems like Hoby's to make that 295 afternoon traffic jam worth it.

My first visit was very pleasant and the gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful. He was very friendly and helpful. He even the time to chat with me about services he uses for the store that I'm considering using for my business. I was very pleased with the service and the honey is pretty good too.
