We checked out Town Hall on an early Saturday evening. First things first I would recommend a reservation, it can get busy. We sat in the bar which has very modern decor, background noise is from a TV, but ample space at your table (not a fan of being packed in at a bar during meal time). The service was great, she was very knowledeable about the food and beverages and had a very pleasant attitude.
Food well prepared, love the variety. Great wine list. Myles is a great server. Only draw back...dining room is very noisy. ..was hard to hear each other talk at our table for four. The decor and ambience in the bar area is beautiful and peaceful. We are huge Chef Grey fans. Best of luck in this new location. We'll be back!
1. Grilled Octopus- it was the highlight of the meal. Tender with mixed greens, roasted chick peas. The potatoes seemed a little out of place, almost like a small entree.
Small, quaint place but very nice ambience. I was very apprehensive when looking at the menu. Not much selection hence the 4 stars. However, I ordered the seared house fish with mashed potatoes and squash...everything tasted outstanding. The fish was seared to perfection, the potatoes creamy, and the squash's consistency and taste was perfect. My friend ordered the chicken and it tasted delicious as well. The service was excellent from the time we walked in, to the time we left. Definitely recommend this place for an intimate occasion. Gave 4 stars only because the menu isn't very extensive.
2. Duck Fat Cornbread- I agree with other reviewers, you couldn't really taste the duck fat. The slaw was the star in my opinion, spicy, crunchy, with a great sauce.
Excellent place to expand your pallet. A little loud in the back so ask for a table by the bar for a more intimate dinner. Enjoyed a "tapas" night with my wife for our anniversary because there were so many appetizers and sides that we wanted to sample. Saw many more items I wish we could have tried. Not a cheap place but you will get a lot of bang for your buck considering the quality of the food you will receive. Enjoy....and Balis Park in the center of the "old town square" type area that the restaurant is located in is fantastic too. Very nice area in a big city; good job Jacksonville.
3. Loaded Fries- not necessarily loaded, but very good nonetheless. A good filler and quality toppings. My husband loved them.

All in all, if you haven't been I would recommend a visit. Their menu is creative and the service is on point.
The staff and atmosphere are nice but the food was sub par at best. The fish was a bit dry and lacked flavor. The new york strip was fatty and under cooked. The brussell sprouts were overcooked. The octupus was good though portion was small. I didn't partake in the wine but they have a nice selection and the staff was very knowledgeable. If they can work on the menu, they will be great.
